Can you explain it more in detail?
I don't understand what you mean.

I think maybe he/she means make the camera behave like it has a shift/tilt lens?

It's under camera settings > lensShift. In the typical architecture case: first make the camera look horizontal. Then adjust the Y slider.

I was just wandering about that - but the lens shift looks like it only shifts the position.. did anyone try using it

this is the effect which we are talking about!?

I'm running into this same issue with a vray camera conversion, they used a vray physical cam and shifted it so the vertical lines are straight up and down instead of converging at angles.

I also tried the shift y in octane settings but it looked like it was just sliding the whole image up or down rather than adjusting the tilt.

Maybe we're supposed to use the tilt setting way down and then move the camera back up? I'll give that a shot an see what happens.

Nope, that didn't work, just looked really wierd.
Plus makes it impossible to match the camera to the vray camera I'm trying to convert.

What about this?

Ah, yes, that does work. Adjusting the target position fixes it, I was moving the camera itself.
However, I guess that's how I assumed the shift-y would function in the first place, like the vray camera. That slider adjusts the position of target and shift, so the center stays where it is.

That way I can match the camera from vray to octane. Otherwise it's never going to be exact.
