Hi i tried a little bit the demo and its really amazing you guys did really a great job. I would like to buy the Version, but i need to know a few thinks before i buy it.
I would like to use OctaneRender for my HighEnd Automotive Renderings and my Questions are:
1. Can i Import a Imageplane wich is attached to the currend Camera where the Car will comosed on it.
But the Imageplane should not move with the Camera, because i only want to match the Car on it.
Is this in Octane possible ??
That means i have a HDR for my lightning and a Backplate for my Car Background.
2. Somtimes i need to move or scale some Parts in my Scene to match it to the Backplate.
Is it Possible to, lets say translate or rotate the left Tire of my Car in a Z or Y Axis ??
3. Can i make Camera Bookmarks.
Example: I want to fix a cameraposition wich i want to render but before, i need to adjust the shading
in different camera positions and later i want go back to my fixed Camera Positions ( Bokkmarked Camera )
Is this possible ?
4. Do i have options to render Layer or Passes or is it in your Planing Timeline ?
thanks

Hi,
These are all features that you do with a 3d host application, and you use a plugin to render with octane, currently max, maya, xsi and blender are supported, with c4d and sketchup in development.

yes, you can render any animation from maya with the maya2octane plugin. (which is currently only available in the commercial version)

Yes i saw your Video but my main Question is When i Use a Backplate in Maya ( The Backplate in Maya is attached to the Camer and not to a Geometryplane ) with my Matched Camera would i see the Backplate also in Octane or not??
And i know i generally would compose it later in Post, but i need this to see my compleet scene for Lightning and Shading.
thanks

yes, as the backplate will be exporter together with your camera position as it's in maya.

Hi its me again.
Yesterday i asked you is it possible to export the Imagaplane as well with the Camera in Maya to Octane, you said yes.
So i tried this and the Imageplane wich is connected to the Camera ( not a Geometry Plane ) dont export to Octane.
Or is it not possible ??
thanks

Hi,
You need to use the maya export plugin, and post a question in the maya export forum so the maya peoples (bazuka, etc...) can help you.
