2D and 3D trees are possible with octane render. The materials for 2D trees have to be set up manually. The texture maps for both diffuse colour and alpha are located in the installation directory in folder named maps.

For me It would be much easier to make MultiScatter support in future. Just because I am the developer of MultiScatter.

it works, I use Forest Pack Pro. Octane renderize only what you see in the viewport.

When Octane will translate Max instances everything will change.

I'm sure that Karba will develop an optimized Multiscatter version for Octane.

Karba "MultiScatter" a very useful tool, it would be great to use this opportunity!
(Karba " MultiScatter" очень полезный инструмент, было бы здорово использовать его возможности!)

I use Forestpack Pro with Maxwell for example and use the Forestpack Instance tool with a Maxwell Proxy.
If Octane will not support proxies combined with instances then your viewport will get slow like hell even with box display.
Until now Forest also works with OCtane the same way. Only that my system cant go over 13 millions polygones before render fails.
Plus I hope Karba will not slow down a possible support for forestpack only because he is a developer of a competitors tool.
