When i reduce the specular part of a glossy material to 0, there is still reflection.
Is this a bug?

no, it's due to the BRDF used, it's a glossy material, it's always got a coating.

Thanx Radiance!
Is there a possibilty to reduce it to minimum reflection (porcelain for example)?
Ok i think when material blending is in Octane this would be no problem i think.

not sure but imo porcelain is quite glossy not ?

Not necessarily
It can be rather diffuse depending on the finish.

you can approach the behaviour of a diffuse material by setting the roughness slider very high, that should give you a similar material i think.

Is the glossy material a phong material, Radiance?
Because the diffuse part of an phong material is a lambertian and the specular part a phong lobe.
It should be possible to reduce the specular part to zero or or nearly zero (o.ooooox)?
Im not a render expert, but in other renderers it is possible.
Thanx

No,
Unfortunately our policy is not to talk about the internals of the engine,
there's too much competition reading these posts.
It's not a phong material/BRDF.
It's a fresnel controlled specular layer ontop of a diffuse reflector.
