Default lighting issue

Hello,
I am a new user.
I used a little scene (some spheres inside a closed cube : see attachement) and was expecting to get a black rendring since there is no light source.
I tried both rendering algorithms. The directlighting seems to introduce some light or to emit light from objects, and I get a beautifull interior image, which is bad, since I do not master my lighting.
The pathtracing algo gives a full black screen which is the result I was expecting?
So how to get the directlighting algo to make a black output for scenes with no light?
Thank you
