Hello, I hope all is well. I think this is a cool piece of software.
The question I want to ask, will this software help Blender in other areas, such as compositing and video editing?
Thanks.

If we are able to get render layers at some point I can see using the blender compositor pretty heavily. I like to use it for adding chromatic abrasion and glow effects. The sequencer is good to put all the images together after using the animation plugin. I'm not sure what else you are hoping for with the sequencer though. I use blender exclusively and can say that octane and blender play nicely together. I was happy to test bone animations which worked great. I have yet to test cloth simulation, but will do that here in the next day or two.

Thanks.
That all sounds cool, excellent software Octane is.
My main use for blender at first will be for video editing and then compositing.
It sounds like more cores are the quickest answer to getting my job done.
That seems to be how it is made.
Blender 2.5 looks good too.
I look to see how Octane goes.
My machine is an Emachines ET1331G-03W ( try not to laught lol )
I have 6 gigs of ram, an AMD 235e, and a PNY GT240 video card and Win7.
Have a great day.
Rick.
