Octane is very good, fast and cheap. It's not quite finished yet, but it works very well for the time being, especially for what you're looking to do. I purchased mine and am very happy with the software, even though I realize that it's not quite finished. As it stands now though, it works very well and was well worth the 100 euros, even for a hobbiest like myself.

Truth be told pathtracing is a very inefficient algorithm for situations with difficult-to-reach light sources. So Octane in the current state will fly with product-viz & exteriors, but interiors can be painfully slow.
But it's still worth it.
