Very nice. These show great sss effect. Reach out and touch.
Are you using density map on the stems, great effect.

Thanks , I used masked sss maps for the transmission to block out the sss on the desired level creating more volumetric effect of the sss
old school ideas that still works so well . You can call it density sss map as well as it is what it do technically but actually more advanced

tasty models,

but shouldn't the reflections shift with the changing camera angle, when using turntable animation?
in this case, its looking odd when the specular is baked into the texture.
Try using octane's glossy material instead.

I agree with you , the turntable was made with the original scan models and the textures was a part of the scan and unfortunately specular baked in the textures , the full scene would move also together with the reflections anyway as the hdr maps would move also in this case, that why I created the second still image with altered materials and maps to response with the light scene for better effect , but the rendering time with my gtx 460m would take to long as the still image was rendered over 1 hour , so I would need at last 200 hours for the full new turntable , just waste of time for not really important stuff ... my bad excuse ;)
well the still image was done the right way .. I am waiting for my new machine right now to speed the rendering time and having more fun with Octane
