Hi,
Can you explain with more detail what the problem is ?
Eg do you get an error message or such ?
Have you tried the 'write unwelded mesh' option ?

I export a scene like the screenshots of my last comment( a bathroom ) with textures, and when I open this obj into octane, the screen turns white and nothing happen, only the program freezes..I think it may be happen because octane don´t read properly the nurbs, and when I convert that to meshes when I load in octane the faces of my objects are poor detailed and very orthopedic..Are you working in a rhino exporter? I think this would be my salvation..and for million people since I was reading this is a very popular issue with all rhino users..
I have one more question, attempting to find solutions, I have exported all the diferents objects of my scene in separate OBJ and later open it in separate meshes with octane,it works but I only see the mesh I am working with..where I should connect the diferent nodes of each one to see the complete scene with all obj? I don´t know if i am explaining well so look at the pictures:

Hi,
You need to export in meter units. octane expects the scene to me in meter units in the OBJ file.
From you're renderings i see the circular artifacts which means you're probably exporting in centimeters or millimeters,
thereby having a model that's kilometers large in octane.
You can use the OBJ mesh import preferences panel in octane to change the unit size.
Also, make sure you install the latest drivers from the nvidia main website, and first, do a propper test with our demosuite.
2.2 is very stable so if you get crashes it's probably a driver issue.

Ok,you are right,I am exporting the obj in milimeters,I would try now and send you my report..and is it posible to merge the diferent OBJ in the same render visualization inside octane? have you seen my images? I have seaprate OBJ inside octane but I don´t know how to visualizate all at the same time..
Thanks one more time..

just export you're whole scene to one OBJ file.
multiple files requires instancing which is scheduled in the upcoming beta3 version.

I have problems too exporting OBJ from Rhino, usually exported mesh have only one material.
Anyway i really like how Octane works and i've asked in the Rhino Newsgroup if someone could build an exporter...
It seems Dale Fugier can do something (

Please Radiance, if you can, get in contact with him.
Thanks

I have some problems with Rhino with obj exporter...
Inside Rhino I have my layers with hundred of objects each. Well, I save an obj file and when I open inside Octane the obj file I have only one node with thousands of objects. If I have given them in Rhino a material all is ok, but if I want to select all same objects in Octane how can I do? Should I select them one at a time from the material control panel?
A question: I don't know how can I use a hdri map inside Octane...for example, I have a map, where can I put it?
The last question: I have seen in the screenshot above a GTX 295. I have the same card, but I read here and on my pc this:
"GPU:GeForce 295GTX (1) - ....../877 MB Mem Used"
but I have 2 GPU on my card and should I read 295GTX (2)?Is it correct? ...Perhaps I must control SLI parameter and to disenable it???
I hope someone will be able to make an exporter for Rhino...
Many thanks
Have a great day
