Just want to say that in start of June, which is in 1½ week there will be the coolest CG user event in europe.
I was there last year and it was realy nice.

This year will be even better. One of the classes will be about RT rendering where the 3dsmax tool KilaD and I wrote for Octane will be showcased

I am doing a different angled Documentary of the event this year. I wont focus on tools, skills, or productions, but rather on the people behind and what they think what makes them do what they do.
It is held in a bar with classrooms around it in a few plans.

I worked out a 35mm film rig for just this occation, handheld, lights and can go on tripod as well. A good friend will join the film crew from The States and we will do our thing.

Do sign up and come, it will be world class

Sounds like worth going event. Too bad I am not in Europe. Hope you enjoy it, and kindly give us some reports of your harvest.

Too far from home, I'm afraid, but we'll be expecting some nice footage with that, btw, that IS a render, right? if so amazing!

I love RedRock, My friend Brian is with the, I see him every year at NAB. They were just a couple booths away from me (I was working at the Sony Creative Software Booth demoing some 3rd party product for Sony Vegas Pro).

Hope you like working with it for the doco (and I hope you've got fast fingers to get your focus ).

Then you might have seen one of the animations i made for Brian/Redrock some years ago, it was for a tv monitor on the booth in collaberation with Sony. also seen it on freshdv etc.
Its the RR logo that animates in with DOF, rendered with brazil 2.

I got their mattebox and shoulder mount and follow focus unit as well.
I have to get in contact with Brian as i have unfinished business to attend on that account.

Sorry if this is off topic, but what stuff were you doing with Sony's Vegas DayVid? My boss and I have used it for years, back in audio only versions, and were also there at NAB (the vegas one) last month. VASST?
