Beta2.2RC2 Procedural texture test

It is fun to play around with procedural texture.
Here is an attempt to simulate fabric and leather, everything is procedural except the bump/ roughness map.
After doing the test, I realize something:
Procedural map is awesome and suitable for non-moving objects.
For characters it is probably not going to work if he moves around.
That's my presumption, correct me if I am wrong.
I guess it's going to work the best with sets, props, to save some valuable vram.
(ps. somehow I think the circular pattern on the hair part looks pretty cute, stylized in a way.
Yes? No?

)
Question: in terms of the black contour line, is it caused by low poly count?

i'm adding several more nodes in RC3, so you'll be able to replace most of your textures with procedurals.

@Radiance:
You mean, in the near future some of the procedural nodes and follow the UV and be deformed according to the geometry?
E.g. the cloth bending and the textures deform with it?
If so it would be awesome!

mapping is something i'll do in next release, we need to get 2.2 out asap.

I can't wait for that feature!! Doing character animation will be awesome in Octane Render.

yes procedural textures make some noise on deformed objects cause its 3d spaced. But.. if UV mapped placing will be avaible will be greate.
Aslo will be cool if Refractive include some other low level shaders like Falloff (fresnel), AO, few types of noise(fractals).

Thanks. It will be cuter when he starts to move and has thoughts.
