Hi Tig,
I realized that the time to export the same file varies greatly depending on the PC which sent him dco .. you already are equivalent in terms of cpu .. have no idea what other factors may depend on?
tnx

I think one large mesh is exported also faster than massive little meshes.

The amount of 'stuff' that needs to be analyzed takes time.
Clearly complex forms take longer than simple ones.

So a lot of geometry that is 'loose' in the model is processed quicker than the same amount of stuff kept inside components and groups.
With nested stuff it gets even slower.
As well as making the mesh from non-triangular faces, if the geometry is in another 'context' the transformation of the container must be applied to the new data, similarly texture UVmappings.
Each material is analyzed in turn, when inside containers this takes extra steps.

Unused layers/materials/objects and hidden objects etc are ignored during the export but a well 'Purged' SKP will export faster because the 'list' of things NOT to check is shortened.

As a test export your SKP that includes many 'containers' and time it.
Next make a copy of the SKP and explode everything, then export that - it should be noticeably faster on the export... but of course you've taken some extra time doing the earlier exploding - there's no such thing as a free lunch!

thanks for the advice but my problem is how (if possible) because there differences in the time of export of the same file from one PC to another
.. even if they have the same configuration.. :?:

That's probably easier to answer...
One PC has a faster processor than the other ?
OR there are other processes running on the slower one ??

The faster processor in the slower for export...
There aren't other processes running on the slower one...
