Demo don't load scenes files !

Hello !
I'm currently trying the demo version and if I load a scene, the soft give me an error message "unable to read the file"
If I load an obj, the soft charsh !
I'm on windows Seven pro 64 bits, Geforce 8800GTS 320mo and 4 giga of ram.
I have cuda 3.0 with my drivers.
My driver are 196.21

To load a obj into Octane you need to right-click in the node window and select mesh -> object. Loading a scene via the file -> load scene option tries to open a saved .ocs file, not a mesh. I'm sorry if I am not understanding your problem properly.

I know how to load a mesh, I have read the forum
When I load a mesh by click right select mesh -> object, like you said, the software crash.
When I load a scene by file>load scene>chessset.ocs, I have this window.

Well that is odd. I know Radiance said that the new version was not backwards compatible. Maybe the chess set file is from an older version. As far as it crashing when importing an obj file, there are a few things that could be the problem. If it takes up more memory then your video card has. That is really the big one. Are you trying to load the chess set obj file? That "should" load without much of an issue. If so try the spaceships one. If you are trying something else, let us know what 3d modeling package it is coming from and post it if you can so we can try it on our systems.

this is the first time i've ever seen this.
did you put it in a folder with special characters ? like n~ spanish chars ?

this is very bizarre...
we've never seen this before.
it's definately nothing to do with drivers.
can you please type the full path to where your OCS file is ?
example: c:\myfiles\octanedemo\scene.ocs

when I put the file in c:, that's work's, I can now import an obj file, but when i use a texcture on it, octane crash.

When I put the file in c:, like you said, I have a short path and it's work's !!!
This product is not for me, this is a joke ? Very professionnal !
En gros, je pense comme tu le disais que c'est un problème de chemin d'accès aux fichier, mais ça bug quand même quand je veux ajouter une image ou autre.
