very nice

i've got the same model here
it's from the CGtalk lighting challenges here:
http://forums.cgsociety.org/forumdisplay.php?f=185
there's lots of nice scenes people can pickup there to shade.

Cool!!!
I was there, trying with LW, FPrime and Maxwell render engines...
Buddy, your simply test got better results than mines, with a more realistic light.
Cheers!

Here is my run with some simple materials, no texturemaps. Hope [gk] don't mind for hijacking his thread:) hehe
10286 samples, nearly 4 hours on my 8800gt.
BTW is it possible to raise the sample limit and continue rendering from this point.
Bye, n1k.

i think what he is talking about would mean increasing the sliders but not restarting the render-progress, right?

Exactly:) If i try to increase the limit now i will have to render this 10k samples again.

Also it would be good for animation, you set to 512 samples make a preview and then increase the samples
