The path to final release

Hi, I got impressed by the power and speed of octane, and of course, an affordable price. But I have some questions:
1.I know there is no official release date. But is there any clue? I mean, last term 2010... 2011...?
2.Once the final release is announced, will be still possible to purchase it for that nice 99 euros until the final release is out?
3. oops, I delete this question as I saw it already exist.
Thats all for now, sorry I this wasn't the correct place to ask. Thanks for your answers.

1. -> not sure , probably a couple of months
2 -> no the price will go up. grab the 99 euro version now, while you can.

Thank you radiance.
Will be a downloadable version (i.e. Like Modo, you can download it whenever you want from your account at Luxology), for purchasers? To be honest I prefer that way much more than the product being shipped home/work.
I suppose it is, but, I also mean, will be downloadable only once, i.e, if my computer crashes and I have to buy a new pc, will I be able to download it again, or better have a carefully saved copy of the installer?

we don't know yet about the final version, we're exploring various options at this time...

Ok, thank you radiance.
May I ask a couple more? Sorry if this questions seem a bit basic, I'm new to un-biased renderers:
1. Will be (or is it yet) possible to save Material files? I downloaded the demo, tuned a couple materials and then, I wanted to save them, just in case, i.e, if I open a new scene and load that nice materials to save time. I don't know if there is a manual (I didn't found it, sorry

).
2. In case of affirmative answer to 1... will be an official material repository for customers?
3. In features list, when reading about materials, I saw bump and normal mapping. Will be any displacement or vector displacement?
4. Proxys/ Instances: will octane include something like vray or mental ray proxys or luxrender instances for better scene handling? And the posibility of scattering them over a surface(like Modo's replicators) Or something with a similar function?
5. Regarding lights: it says "Emissive
arealights on all material types**" I think this is whats called an emitter. But will octane support also IES lights? (not sure if this was included with emissive arealights.

We're working on a material preset system and a library, should be available soon, within 1-2 months.
Displacement is planned for v2.0
Once area lights are implemented it will be a piece of cake to add IES so i don't think it will take too long before we have that too.
Instancing is planned for beta3.
