I have a gtx 260,

Crash when i chance reolution to min in max (example from 720 to 4096 crashing the card)

When exporting an obj from my 3d app (C4D) the geometry is 89 mb but in octane the memory occuped is 521 mb

There is a strong limitation for complex scene

In still production the high resolution is 3500 or 4096 px ......and when switch in this high resolution octane crash.

I'm recording a video....when the upload is finish...link in this post

Hi,

yeah this is noted in the README.txt file,
please read it thoroughly before posting bugs.

we're aware of this, we recommend to change the resolution before loading a mesh and changing the engine at this time,
it is a bit unstable on some cards, we're working to fix this in the next version.
Regarding models, octane needs to calculate acceleration structures as it's a raytracer so models do end up using more memory than in modeling applications.

Good luck with your video recording, looking forward to seein it :)

Well,
I'm under Win XP64, w/ a GTX 275 w/ 1.7GB.
Octane is AMAZING!!!!
So, it's an Alpha version, I know.
And crashes are normal...
But, please, publish a vs. 0.71, with a SAVING and LOADING PROJECT option.
It's been hard restart the project over and over...
Do all settings again and again...
Doesn't need to save the image. Just the project.
A contest will be a patience challenge.
Tks.

Hi,

Loading and saving octane projects will only be available to licensed beta / final users, not demo versions,
otherwise we won't sell any at all... :)
