hey, can I install on my desktop and my laptop, or do I need multiiseat licensing? (obviously assuming that only one would be used at a time)

Hi, one license is per machine.
If you have 2 machines, you'd need 2 licenses.
you can get 2 licenses for 198 euro, that's not going to ruin your budget i suppose...
grab them while you can as when we go final you'll pay 2x as much...

afaik, maybe we'll add a dual-license pack to our products you can purchase to make this easy, with a slight discount or so.

Well, I'm a poor schmuck who only wanted it for convenience sake, I'll just have to do all my work in one location. Hoped it would be allowed on 2 machines like adobe does, as long as it wasn't being used on both machines.
I think it would be good though, if you were to make a transferable license for an extra 20 or 30 bux, because that would allow the convenience, but you wouldn't have to allow ppl to install it on multiple machines w/o getting any extra $.

we don't have the required infrastructure yet to transfer licenses between the machines.
big companies like autodesk have multiple people that develop those systems, we don't, although not yet
So you'll just have to do it with 2 licenses, i'm sorry.
99 euros for a product like octane is not that much imo.

Agree completely, 99Euro ( $130 US ) is not much at all. I just didn't *need* it is all I was saying.
So while I would consider paying an extra 20-30 for convenience, I'm not so flush with cash that I can spend another 99 for convenience.
Thanks again for a great product!
