What does this mean for current users? What does this mean for Cinema4D Plugin development? Do all users who are not AUTODESK based sort of bite the bullet on this one?

These dramatic silences are so RS... :D

I hope they didn't take the money and break their 1.0 promises that some have waited two years for (wouldn't be surprised, at all)... Costumer support has gotten gradually worse

It would look like it to me, but what are they going to do with all of the current licenses?

hey, this just leads to nothing. all guessing is just worthless until radiance gives us a statement. so, maybe it would be a good idea to do more constrictive things with our time :D

things happen as they do. and that's it...

My dear friend, the article that I sent a link to was 10 DAYS OLD! You seriously expect us not to be upset if we find this by stumbling over an article on the net. If Radiance ever should deign to actually make a statement, dont you think it is about bloody time to do it now? ;)

...any way, some of us need to make decisions about which system to go with for our future work. For Cinema 4D there is also Arion and IRAY. The latter being fully integrated already.

What we have here is a matter of broken trust, and whether RS is a partner one can rely on!

and saying "things happen as they do. and that's it " is the best way I ever heard of, of loosing customers!

I really think that Octane is a very good renderer, but this is no way of running a company!

Frustrating....nothing more to say. Seems they didn't make that much out of Octane if they buy it out. I have my Maxwell License and iray but only use Octane. We will see what happens...

Do you remember Mudbox?

well, when it was acquired by Autodesk it has received a lot of improvements.

If Octane for Max will have all the vray-mentalray features I will pay more for the new upgrades.

Probably RS wants financial help.
