Some furniture I bought from ikea assembled it and got the idea to modeled it,
Simple and effective design ..
took 5min per render without fireflies straitgh from octane no downsampling so there are some AA issues,
took 15-20 min to model each piece of furniture, took me longer to assemble it for real

Ok, now I added the one I rendered in cinema4d for comparison rendered with GI and QMC

nice but a bit too much on the tonemapping side, it looks like it was photographed with a camera from the 60's

hehe... I have the same mania/obsession
nice models but I agree with Radiance there's "too much" tonamapping for my taste

It is a bit overburned, you know what we need some RGB sliders somewhere for the tonemapper I was using eastman/kodak kodachrome 64d setting, everything looks burned and washed a bit with that one, so now I will have to post another one..
What is you favorite response curve setting

hey, this is good, the wood texturing looks fine... I agree about the tonemapping, I imagine Ikea brochures with a cold tone, neutral or blueish white. Try to avoid top-down perspectives, but rather look straight at the horizon and pull the camera down (or you can look at the horizon from a higher position, open the fov to see the furniture and then crop the image). You invested some time modeling the things so I think its worth a try
