i'm very excited about Octane and i would like to make sure it can render light fixture with lights turned on. Also is there any way to let the day lighting sun transmit through the window glass and get the sun inside of the building.

i have been experiment with the Octance fore couple days and i have not access to these features. because i make a purchase i would like to know if this is even possible. i'm sure it does, i just wanted to confirm. if so, please help me to find the way.

thanks alot,

Radiance has already replied to that in another thread:

"sunlight through architectural glass and alpha is on the list for the 2.3 release, with MLT.
we're finishing 2.2 now, then we begin on it, so it won't be long."

So you only have to wait for it, i'm sure the images will be stunning! ;)

Hi,

as vagos said, sunlight through glass and opacity mapped objects is slated for beta 2.3 (with MLT) which is going to arrive in a a few weeks.
Mesh emitters/lights are slated for beta3 after that.
