Using Proxy based plugins with octane

Hi there Octaners!

I have been following Octane for max plugin and am really looking forward to replace CPU based renders with GPU ones since I own 2x580x geforce graphic cards. My scenes contain a lot of trees and grass so I'm wondering if "octane for max" supports proxy based plugins like Vray Proxy specially Multiscatter or even carbon scatter.

Thank you

Hi,
Octane doesnt support instances yet.
This is currently under development and should be in the next beta 2.6
I'm not sure when that will arrive but the community are expecting it 'soon', as in a few weeks or so. ;)
Unfortunately as of this time there isnt a demo for the Max plugin but that is also due soon.
That may not however be based on beta 2.6 but 2.57.
Keep checking back for the demo if you have doubts but many Max users are already using beta 2.57 and like the integration a lot.
If you have any more questions prior to purchase feel free to ask. 8-)
I should draw your attention to the fact you need both Standalone Octane + the Max plugin together. Some people have been confused about that.
Also note that Refractive have a combo deal ATM for 179 euro which you can select from the Octane for Autodesk panel on the buy page :geek:
