Demo Instant crash

Hello,
i've just downloaded OctaneRender_Demo_102_beta2_win_x64.exe, installed i and as soon as i launch it, i get instant crash:
Windows 7, x64bit, 8gb ram, GeForce 8800 gtx 512, Quad Q6600
Any idea?

download and install the latest drivers for your card.
read the release notes...

Ciao Maximus, presumo che tu sia Italiano date le schermate.......
Io ho avuto il tuo stesso problema, apparentemente irrisolvibile anche con i nuovi driver. Poi un bel giorno, installando phyton 2.6 per tutt'altro motivo (blender), octane ha iniziato a funzionare...............

I'm also getting the same problem, but I don't get any information like that, windows just tries it's best to check a solution!
One thing to note, a few weeks ago it did work. I have updated my drivers to the latest and still can't launch the file! Anything else could be problematic? I don't think I've installed any new drivers in the meantime, pretty sure that I haven't...

we will be supplying new demo versions of 2.1 very soon.
try with those.

One thing perhaps, I get this crash at startup as well,, Nvidia dev drivers 197.13 on Win 7 HP 64 bit. A possible workaround is to edit the octane shortcut to enable run as administrator (all the time, not just the first...)
Right click the shortcut goto compatibility tab and set privilege level to, run as admin...
Not sure why, perhaps some of us have a specific admin setup... It may write temp files or buffer info to an area that requires admin rights all the time??
(I have another CG prog that requires to be run as admin on first start from install, but after that it's ok. ie does not need this permanent setting..)
At present only using a demo ver of Octane... just d/l'd 2.1, will try with that l8r.
