That is funny. I live opposite of the 4711 building in Cologne and they have these space invaders in the windows

Yes indeed!
The idea was to show the number 4711 in a way that could conect with the mp3 and web culture.
I carved out 4711 units of volume from a 4096 units of glass + 1024 units of the cap.

Just a Trivial info... The 4711 cologne is one of the oldest if not the oldest cologne still in production. Is was the favored scent by Napoleon Bonaparte.

The number 4711 was the number Napoleon gave to the house where the company was founded (in Cologne) after the invasion...
