From your experience...what type of trees (plugins, etc) to best use in an Octane animation?
I am working on a large project with lots of full grown trees that are incorporated in the design.

For High-res trees there is Evermotion and aboove mentioned R&D group. I have a lot of their sets.

If you look for low-poly trees (2000tris) you also could take a look at my 3d model shop. Its specialized on vegetation and nature stuff and may be suiteable for your large project.
GameDevs use it a lot for their projects. Some archviz people too.
Just take a look: http://shop.pure3d.de. :)

Yeah, I am looking for low poly stuff. Evermotion are amazing but impossible to handle without instances.

mbetke your products look great and the prices are fantastic too, but you unfortunately Pine and Birch wont help me out! I need me some typical Mediterranean trees: a few palm trees, etc. Great work though!

Have a look at VB visual, they have some very nice low polygon trees. I have used them in animation before.
