Using HDRI in 3ds max® v1.0 beta 2.56b

Hi,

Anyone knows how to setup HDRI using plugin 3ds max® v1.0 beta 2.56b?

You can add an image texture node in the environment slot of 3dsmax, create an instance of this in the material editor and pick your HDRI file in the filename tab of that instance material. unfortunately you don't have any freedom in rotating these files to get the look you want from the HDRI on your scene. A proper support for texture environments will probably be added in the next release of the plugin. Another alternative you can try for the time being is a large sphere surrounding your scene with the texture applied to this or through texture emitters.
