So far...
Navigation, I find it a little cumbersome, I understand that cameras do not carry through to Octane...yet, but when opening a mesh I really need to fiddle to get scene views.
Mesh, some models come in with missing mesh, in need of smoothing, or missing materials.
Splats, I have had two splats so far, both being relatively small and limited material models.

i understand you're a sketchup user ?
imo sketchup does'nt export a lot of materials, eg it only export diffuse/colours and basic diffuse textures.
i'm sure once you're a bit used to it you can make nice things,
everything that's been posted in the gallery so far has been made with the same releases, some even older with far less features
the camera import, although there's an option in the import preferences does'nt work yet, no.
you'll have to position it manually for now...

If meshes are missing some sections try checking the import in other applications as it may be your package isn't exporting correctly or it could be you have flipped normals, or any number of mesh issues.

My models do not have reversed faces/flipped normals.
I'll try converting the .skp to .obj with Deep Exploration and see if it makes a difference.

you should also make sure you're using the correct units.
by default octane assumes that the OBJ file contains models with 1 unit = 1 meter.
if this is different, say you're importing a house that's kilometers wide,
you can end up getting light leaks etc...
make sure you're units are right
