Best Card for Mac Pro

Im getting a new card and am wondering what would be the best card to run octane for a mac pro, 3.1, dual 3ghz quad cores,10gigs ram. any suggestions? thank you

Hi!
to be sure it works at 100% (hardware- but also driver-wise) you should go for a Mac edition nVidia card. AFAIK the best (and almost only...) after-market card I've seen so far is the 285GTX 0,9Mb sold in the official apple stores (online too). Don't know if there's some of the new GTX4xx coming soon (but I wouldn't hold my breath...)

A Mac version for the GTX400 series is not planned yet. That's what EVGA told me. So the best choice is the GTX285 Mac edition

I heard NVIDIA are already working on new Fermi cards for late 2010

thanks for the replies. 'll get the 285 not much else to choose and the later generations may not run wiyh my setup, getting old. looking forward to the 1st version of octane. thanks again for the replies
