animation test .

Hi there.
here is a short animation test i did with the turntable function ,well i came to the conclusion
that octane is insanely fast each frame took between 30 and 40 sec. to render , yes thats wright
seconds and not minutes. I did this smal animation in one day . ;)
its not a serious project and there are some issues with material but hey , 30 second with reflection ,bump
and dof , i think that is fantastic.

how many megabytes is the scene?
are you sure 30 secs? how many GTXs?

the movie is 720x406 pixels?

you used pathtracing or directlighting?

yes its 30 to 40 sec. a frame , see the screenshot .
the movie is : HD 1280p-720p.
Directlight Ambient occlusion
max sample : 512

Graphic c. : GTX 590
cores : 1024

i know it is unbelievable

Great stuff!!! looks like there is no ceiling that can explain the fast render speed, looks like you are using a texture enviroment?

yes the ceiling is removed , i will try to leave a strip off ceiling on top off the walls so it will cast a bit off shadow on to the wall
that will make it a bit more realistic and there should still be enough light entering the room.
will post a result soon.
