Coating material/node

I know we have thinfilm coating in the glossy and specular material.

I would like to see a Coating material that can be wrapped around any of the material bases. This is something that will come in handy when making varnished wood, carbonfibre etc.

This coating material should have N and K values and coating thickness as settings.

Cheers

ya, a simple added specular layer is needed for wet/glossy varnish for sure.

that's already what the glossy material does.

Alright, so it is/or will be possible to use the glossy material as a coating on a diffuse material etc?

the glossy material is a diffuse material with a glossy coating on it, modulated with a fresnel for dielectrics.
