Hello,
i just bought 2 x GTX 580 3Go.
What kind of card i need now for monitoring ?
A thin card just for keeping air space and work with Windows 7 x 64.
The minimum.
Thank you.

I have a GF120 for display.
But i don´t know if that can give troubles with your 5xx. Maybe they use different drivers...

Thanks Face,
As said on the nvidia forum :
The driver package 285.62 supports GeForce 6, 7, 8, 9, 100, 200, 300, 400, and 500-series desktop GPUs.
It seems correct.

For photoshop or cinema 4d, it's okay ?

Go for quadro..
They are twice better then Geforce cards in 3d viewports..

the Quadro is useful if you use the maxtreme Max driver, otherwise it's better to use a common GTX

Cinema 4D has no benefits from Quadros, no dedicated driver.

only few pro apps use Quadro boards. Octane doesn't need a Quadro. It's better to deactivate the 1st board to assign materials, lights and cameras and then reactivate the second gpu for the final render.

With Octane and 4 GTX580 gpus I can rotate with no problems 8 millions of polygons, all of my gpus are enabled for computing.

On the contrary with the same big scene and Arion I can't use the 1st gpu, I have to deactivate it to prepare the scene.

Probably Octane intelligently deactivate some cuda cores to use the UI.
