does anybody know what unit or parameter the roughness value is in? beeing a physically correct renderer ;) i expect something like RzDIN, Ra, Rtm?

and, by the way, has anyone a resource or practical description how the dispersion coefficient B is to handle? have read in the wikipedia about dispersion but don't really know how to make use of it...

so the silence leads to an answer like "no one"? ;)

well, meanwhile i have compiled a list of gemstones/minerals together with their ior and dispersion values:

have fun with these (and make them gems glow)...

dispersion in many rendering softwares is called Abbe...If I remember well...
would be nice if Octane have the possibility to load ior files like Maxwell.
