Last learning projet

my last self project , or how to enhance a small and not so well designed interior . i still try to be as realistic as possible. this is 16000 s/px picture in PMC and natural daylight system .

Feel free to destroy , just explain why before :=)

Iam no expert but I do like the room!!! Maybe play around with exposure and camera response.

Very good ;) .

A couple of things

What is the render time.
Did you use portals.

Also you can try these settings, if you have already not, setting the PMC direct light importance to 0 and the exploration strength to a very low setting like 0.03

The portals can work if you have the minimum of about 2 polys. So a one poly plane would be sufficient and if you have multiple windows you can have this plane cover them all. If their are three/four or more polys it becomes useless and would not impact the render time in any way. Also it is good to make sure the portals don't extend to much bigger than the windows otherwise they become less efficient.

thanks for advice , i'm trying right now . for time it was about 4 hours and i forgot to use portals .
By the way , there is any manner to use displacement maps ( for carpet, cloth , grass, etc ) in octane render ? i didn't find a way .

Displacement is not currently supported in octane. They will probably add this further down the line or surprise us with this feature like SSS in the very near future. The other option would be to use mesh for now.

I did what you said , render kernel is PMC with your settings , rendering time is about 8 hours and noise still remain . i used portal but with light intensity equal to 0 . so i'm not sure it is pertinent . this is a 16000 s/px picture . i changed some glass materials .
