protokol wrote:Thanks. Could you do me a favour and check the actual output directory to see if the EXR files are actually saving?

I can get files to render in picture viewer (and I have disabled cinema 4d saves, and disabled c4d multi-pass image etc etc) but it will not save the actual exr files to disk from the octane Render AOV Group tab. When I open the exact same file with 2021 it does save the EXR files.

I hope that is clearer.
It's working as you can see. I've imported the save files to Picture Viewer to check it.
Thanks! I don't know what to tell you, it's not saving files for me. When I open with Octane 2021 it then saves the files.

I'm reporting a bug. Can you recommend any actual solutions?

To be clear, it renders to Picture Viewer but the files aren't saved to the output folder when I check. Using Octane 2021 it works normally and the files are actually saved to the folder. I've switched between octane 2021 and 2022 on both S26 and R25 and whenever I use Octane 2021 it now saves the EXR files.

System Specs
Windows 10
Cinema 4D - S26.013 & R25.117
Nvidia Studio Driver 516.59
GPU 3090

I cannot think any problems to cause this. We can't yet call it as bug. Can you use a different partition and location for testing? Please drop e-mail to support if it's still happening with different output locations. They will try to help you to understand your problem.

exactly the same problem here, as soon as render aov is checked, no render is saved.

It may be a fixed problem after XB1 releases. Check this build for the issue. Note that it's not ready for release. I'll make it available after completing a few new nodes.

I'm trying the above build (XB2), C4D won't start with it.

It passes 'initializing plugins' and crashes during 'initializing layout'.

Tried with S26 and R25.

I then installed XB1 again and set my layout to the default, then reinstalled XB2. Cinema 4D was able to load a bit further and get into the main screen but then crashes during 'octane plugin activation'.

i can confirm exactly the same behavior.

Hellow Ahmet, don't you want to fix this problem with the octane scatter on a large surfaces already?
It's 2022 and we're still having these childhood diseases.

Hellow Divasoft,
it's not a matter of wanting something at the moment. Current method is fast but having some problems like that. It's not fixable without writing new distribution algorithm. It's under my R&D period, but don't have success and time to bring it yet with high performance. Better distribution is not fast and efficient as current one.

Btw send you send me, it doesn't looks like expected. Because it's having a good face distribution.
