Many thank! I'll try to reproduce the issue. Btw why do you choose to use the multi-pass saving from C4D?

What's render preview? Sounds like having wrong dlls.
I mean the Shader editor preview window (see image attached).
So far it happens only with files created in 4.00 and now are opened with 4.01.1. New files created with 4.01.1 are working as it should.
Dlls are fine.
Hi there,
did you find a solution, because I have the same problem.
the double click does not work! nothing happens
thx
Cyril
I still got this bug... even after 4.01.1 R2. Its annoying: the render preview inside the node editor previews the image textures better than the main shader editor preview... also the shader preview mode in the live viewer won't work with the images nodes.
After starting to render the main scene in the live viewer most shaders previews start to "recognize" the textures in it's preview. Its weird and annoying since I have to tweak my shaders in the live viewer with scene itself...
So far it only happens with the image textures nodes. I wonder if its releated with the new "Use texture cashing" feature since this bug started right after it's implementation...

This was just for testing if this has impact on crash behavior

Node previews should work fine if you have render from current scene. Otherwise stays black.
They stay black when the LV is active. They only render if the LV is paused. Is that correct, seems a bit useless not being able to see node previews while you're working on them. I'll send you a pm with some visuals....
Complete Shut Down (Mac) if Denoiser is activated

Hay All,
on my Mac Pro (5,1 | 2010 | 12 Core) with 2 Nvidia cards (980 & 1080) I experience a complete Shut Down if I activate AI Denoiser.
I think, this is due to the tremendous need of power, that the Denoiser demands from the card(s).
Under version 3 I had no problems - everything worked fine even under full load.
If I choose the 980 for Denoising, that get their support from 3 Sata bays: Shut Down !
If I choose the 1080, it works fine in Editor Mode (Live Viewer), but in final rendering: Shut Down !
...
I think, Octane could have another button in the parameter settings which can be activated - a kind of "use only 90% of Power", or so.
Anyone has the same issue here ?
Edit:
I would like to mention, that I switched back to Sierra and installed v4 of Octane and at this moment, everything works well (again).
I had massive problems with High Sierra systemwide and so another user, who also switched back from High Sierra to Sierra.

What you say and show in video that's reverse of how It should work. On me It works if you have rendering of current scene in Live Viewer. It's expected behavior. But I'm on win7.

Is anyone else having rendering issues using PMC, which renders frame 0 and does not finish the render?
Attached is what I am getting.

It looks like waiting for long time at same frame. Have you checked any render passes and looked to Console for render log?
