Hi !!

here you can see another basic setup. No mixes - just directly linked the maps into their channels. If you use image-texture-shaders you can easily tweak.

If you like to go further, you can use the AO mixed with white, multiplied to the color to add some AO-shadows (but you don't need to - octane is doing a good job and we have the octane dirt-shader that can be used here). Basically it can look like this:

Another option is to mix the gloss with the hi-gloss. So you can tweak it easily:

...but don't forget - more maps means more resources needed.
I personally use mainly 4k maps - 8k only for closeups. No AO or higloss if I don't need it (but it's good to have it available in case of !! ).
A good idea is also to mix different resolutions like 8k color and bump - the rest in 4k ...this works best for me ;)

I also recommend to setup a library - I made one for c4d-octane - you can ask me for that if you have licensed the product.
Since I don't have lightwave, 3dsmax.... available, I could not setup libs for it by now, but I try to organize that for future.

Hope that helps :)
Cheers,
Chris

You can test the demo-maps here:

Best regards,

p.s.: we are currently working on material-libraries for the most common engines
C4D-Octane is already available on request ;)

Hi Salomon,
where you got that from ? - for the pack with 26 surfaces I take €124,17 without tax.

Google says that's about 133 US-Dollar.
I don't think that paypal adds $77 for transaction - please simply take a look at the shop:
http://real-displacement-textures.com/r ... ne-37.html

Really - that's the absolute lowest price I can offer.
I invested a lot of time and my personal money for development and production and I need a minimum revenue to be able to go on producing.
Right now I'm still deep in the red, but because of all the positive response I hope it's only a matter of time.

Cheers

The collection is fairly priced, this is not the same as regular textures, this is photogrammetry. ( if I'm not mistaking )

For me it was $136 USD through Paypal. Very happy with the pack. Very fair price IMO.

Hope it sells well so that you can keep making these! I know it sounds a bit silly but a Real Displacements twitter and facebook would probably help your userbase grow a lot over time. I know that's how I'd keep an eye out for Pack #2.

This would be a great place to get your work shown on http://lesterbanks.com/

I visit it daily I'm sure if you contact him he'd do a post about your product. I've found out about several useful 3d stuff on that site including Octane.

Hi guys !

Thanks a lot for your help and for the positive feedback.
It makes me happy to hear, that users are contented with the pack and the price.

Yea, I think it's just a matter of time, that people see, test and maybe purchase the pack and I'm pretty sure the project will go on.

By the way - I was out today for scanning cobblestone pavements.
There will be a free demo for this and it's prepared for pack-two.
The demo will be available in the next days ;)

Cheers

Nice cobblestones...is this part of a new library you are working on?

Hi nildoe,

Yep, that's the first map for the next pack.

Yes, it's how it is in real. I didn't rearrange stones - only a single line on each end of the map is manipulated.
I think it's good for this one and there will be more different maps with such cobblestones to choose.

cheers
