i always get this in error log:

- failed to deallocate device memory
CUDA error 999 on device 0: An unknown internal error occured.

I rendered 84 frames with displacement walls, no problems...

Ok, looks like we can reproduce the issue finally. This is a displacement bug. I am fixing it.

Karba
Will still not open my scene which opens fine in octane 1.x
Becoming a real problem for me as I've paid for v2 but can only use v1 on all these heavy-ish files

Currently 2.x has a triangle number limitation 19.173.961. We will fix it in the future.

Karba - how difficult would it be to add a - send to Editing application button from octane viewport (or send to Photoshop button)
- this would be most usefull

Karba, does this Tri limit include or exclude Proxies?
We are getting driver errors all the time now on one of our large-scale projects. Most of our machines will render one frame, then freeze on the next. The job has to be restarted everytime we see machines hanging. Last night we sent 450 frames to the farm, and this morning we had 10 finished frames. On a 2-Titan machine, it averages 6-8 mins per frame at 1080p. This is great when it works, but the machines are freezing up almost every frame now...

This number includes only "unique" triangles.
Do you use displacement?
