Thank you for your reply I tried everything. I have mix material for top part as checkers and it shows as pure black in viewport but fine when rendered. I attached 2 images. But bottom part shows fine as green because it is jsut a diffuse material and not a mix material. may be 3ds max 2014 glitch. Thank you

Greg

OctaneRender materials and texmaps doesn't support "Show Shaded Material in Viewport"
IMHO black color - because Mix material doesn't have proper implementation of "void Mtl::Shade(ShadeContext& sc)" and/or "Color Mtl::GetDiffuse(int mtlNum, BOOL backFace)"

I have a problem with octane render animaition minute

Normally render time 22 seconds frame of but when i was rendering sequence 20 to 130 the render time frame of 01:22 minutes

Why the time is too different octane viewport and max render frame

Can you help me how can i fix this?

Thank you.
Do you have any geometry animation for that sequence? Did you try to switch off "update animation geometry" option?
Yes the scene commercial automotive animation. Are you talking aobut autoupdate movable proxy switch ?

I still have a problem with animation sequences.
Now I have only half rendered 138 of 250. And then the renderer was stopped by itself. WTF?

what does octane error log say? looks like your gpu gets overheated or it is a power supply issue.

Do all frames take 1:22 minutes or just first one? Don't forget that first frame always takes more time due to geometry preparation, but next one takes less.

I have the same issue, render just hangs after so many frames. I do not think it is power supply or overheating, I have Cubix boxes. Where can I find the error log?
