Thanks Phil. It would appear that it is the emitter. When I set it to 200 power I am back with the same image.

I can see that Octane material settings are saved with the scene. For now then put it down to my own version control error. I'll be watching out for lighting/material changes just in case it's one of those "intermittent" bugs.

Oh and for some reason when I try to download the Octane live DB, Carrara and the plugin Locks up. I have to use task manager to close everything down.. Not over fussed at this stage..maybe its something I am doing wrong.

Same problem here, when downloading the live DB, Carrara keeps crashing/locks up. However found a workaround. The default directory was on my C drive (SSD), changing the location in the plugin to my data/second drive solved it and dowloaded the live DB correctly. May be changing the directory will help for you also.

Have you tried the 'download new' option ?

I seem to remember during implementation in the early days of the closed session this worked for me..

After the initial 'download new', updating the LDB via either method worked just fine ;)

Just echoing Orion_UK - I gave up with the Download all option and went with download new. Worked fine.

Agreed. Perhaps the best way of proceeding (with reported Issues) Is to have a summary post somewhere for each of the reporters. Atm. I'm keeping my top issues in my head, but clearly that's not going to be practical moving forward.

Is this possible? If not, then an occasional reminder post? Just thinking out loud.
Great idea buddy, just not sure how it would fit in now that we are in PUBLIC tests! Not with out excluding the very people who are now involved as 'the public'..

Thanks for your input mate :)

How long will the public beta continue? Will the plugin price increase accordingly?

Hard to predict. I have my eye on December but it won't be released until I feel that it is feature complete and as bug free as I can get it.

Ok, thanks! I'm working on a project using the DS plugin atm but as soon as I'm finished I'm going to install and get used to the Carrara plugin. I'm planning to get a second copy for the laptop.
