Thanx for all helping

Is it a 3 GB card? the most I can do on my 3 Gb 780 is about 64 Megapixels, i.e. 8k x 8k, 32k x 2k, etc. With a 12 GB card, I can get 32k x 10k. Going higher, you should consider using lens shift to tile the output in chunks that can fit in your card's memory.

More Procedural maps:
Like regular 3dsmax noise?
Yes!

Out-of-core rendering:
That would work deadly slow.
This was promised as an upcoming feature of Octane 2.x
http://render.otoy.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=39208

MultiTexture support:
what exactly do you need? just random texture per object? use random color texture to mix textures.
It's a plugin. Please check: http://www.cg-source.com/vidtut_multite ... exture.mp4
"show end result" is working, just texture preview don't work at the moment.
I can't support any 3rd party plugin, there are too many of them.

Yes, I have got. Just wasn't able to render it at the moment. How many cpu memory do you have? It took more than 20Gb and I stopped. I don't have corona render installed, so I can't open corona proxy and there is no proxy file in the archive.

Any fix? Because the texture preview is exactly what I meant/need.

And what about the rest?
Bitmap connection in slate material editor:
http://render.otoy.com/forum/viewtopic. ... 68#p190699

Show shaded Material in viewport when converting:
http://render.otoy.com/forum/viewtopic. ... 68#p193208

So the "out of core" feature isn't coming?

Right now OoC texture works in Brigade and the speed is surprisingly good. We're not yet at the point where we can be sure if we'll see the same speed in Octane. Octane is much more complex than Brigade, so it is not a given that it we'll get this level of performance. We're going to implement it and see.

V2.04 vs V1.18

the one on the right is V1.18 after 2 minutes rendering - v1.18 99% clean, v.204 half way
compare1.JPG

after about 9 minutes v2.04 it comes close to v1.18
compare3.JPG
- and HDRi moved for some reason.. well OK - I manualy rotated it to place.. everything was at 0..

- in this case - v2.04 is almost 400% slower ..

- OK I understand a slight increase, 20% wouldn't be noticable, this is rediculus.. I'm going back to the old kernel I guess, unless I really really need the new features

- what the..

- now I would only wish, the old kernel to work in max 2015

- also either octane 2.04 or max 2015 is very unstable! - a lot of crashes, sometimes silent crashes - on simple scenes - not sure what is the problem there - but it is almost unusable

EIDT- bugs definetely related to octane rendering - definitely check it out in max 2015
- crashes whenever octane is rendering and this:disabling/enabling a gpu, addind/removing a modifier in an object that is also a movable proxy

Lighting doesn't look the same. So the scene is not the same. You can't compare.
2.x is about 15-20% slower, not 400.

But to be sure, please send me a scene (with hdr image)
Regarding stability - I will release a new version 2.05 today, there I have fixed several crashes.

How do I remove the slave install and the daemon? I was one of the people who purchased the upgrade the first day in order to be able to tap the GPU on my second machine with the nework render feature, before Otoy revealed that it costs more to use network rendering. Anyhow, disappointing as that was, I found that after installing the network node software on the two PCs, 3DS Max crashes on load whenever a PC is not connected to the network.

On a related note, on one PC if I go to Uninstall a Program, it lists some older versions of OctaneRender, a few of which say "(remove only)". What does this mean?

Info about slave price was in the FAQ ( http://render.otoy.com/faqs.php ) from the release date of 2.0.
