Hi Paul,
version is the last : 3.5.3.78. VR
This allert seems to appear if I try to create a new node graph material while I'm rendering a scene. The good news is that thanx of this plugin version the system does'nt crash. Simply i close the allert and I go on in node graph.
If I edit an old node graph material nothing happens.

thanx

fabrizio

I have been able to reproduce this problem, and will post a fix in the next few days.

Thanks

Paul

I have updated the installer at the top of this thread with:

3.5.3.78
- Fixed a bug where editing NodeGraph materials did not update the material thumbnail image, and could crash Rhino on rare ocasions
- Fixed a bug where creating a NodeGraph material when the Viewport was open would result in an XML error

The subscription version will be available in the downloads sections in a few days, however if you cannot wait - the installer link is at https://render.otoy.com/customerdownloa ... IPTION.rhi.

Thanks

Paul

Can anyone tell me what this CUDA error means. It happens when I try to increase the file size of the rendering. Am I running out of Vram.

I have the latest version of Rhino and the plugin.
Ive got a GTX690
32gig ram
6700k

Hi - if you go to the Devices tab, click Octane Log and you can see any Cuda errors. However, I suspect Rhino is running out of display memory. How much VRAM does your graphics card have?

Thanks Paul,

mine is only 3g. Does the overall dimensions affect the VRAm. I thought it was only the number of objects.

Looks like I might need a 980ti or 1070.

Cheers

Hi Tim - you should also open up the Windows Task Manager and check your RAM. What resolution are you trying to render at? Large resolutions take huge amount of RAM.

Hey Tim - if you are short on vram then optimise your scene - the best thing to start would be to use blocks.
