Hi Ahmet,

Great to return from holiday and see a new Octane update ready. I haven't been using Octane for long but its integration into Cinema is great and gives a nice workflow already.

Have been testing the latest 2.11.1 and noticed an issue. When render passes is enabled the render really doesn't seem to like being stopped mid-way in the picture viewer. This has caused the programme to become unresponsive (with spinning wheel) and I eventually have to restart it. I did let the render complete also but it doesn't seem to output and save. The time on the picture viewer keeps going and so it seems to still be thinking. Again I eventually have to restart the programme. I've tried this both with a complicated and simple scene and same problem. If, however, I switch off the render passes option the render can be stopped mid-way without issue.

I know the render passes aren't all showing correctly in the picture viewer at the moment and you're working on that. I hope there's the flexibility to be able to stop a render once it's reached enough quality and then still be able to manually save the image and all the render passes/object IDs etc to be used still. That would give some nice flexibility when wanting to give a job as long as possible before stopping to meet a deadline.

Hi dmatarch,
nice to don't loose your interest to Octane. RC1 is release candicate. Means not ready yet for all. There was a problem to interrrupt pass rendering without finishing actual frame. You may check this RC2 version. Still may not be %100 ok, have some revisions on arealights also. We are testing and trying to prepare for folks

Now updating to new version...

Thank you! Have had a chance to test and the changes to this version seem to have made it more stable. The render is able to be stopped in the middle now without crashing and if left to complete the image and render passes save out now. I know this is still an in-development version and the render passes aren't displaying in the picture viewer right now. Hopefully when they are stopping the render before it completes will still allow you to save out the render passes and alphas etc.

I'm shaping up accordingly requests. To save when you brake on middle of render, not a correct behaviour. Only i can provide to display passes in this situation. But saving is bad request which will cause different problems.
