You asked me what kind of video card I am using so I told you that I am using quadro 5000.
I got nothing but checker when I hit the octane render viewport.
I have octane render for 3ds max 3.01 test version installed in max 2012.
Please let me know what I can do to fix this problem.

Did it works with previous 3dsmax plugin version?
What is shown in Cuda Devices tab? What is compute model?

I tested on my laptop that has a quadro 3000m i will test on my main station that has gtx590, st the time of testing i couldnt because it was rendering.
Btw thw 3.00d version works on this laptop
The laptop is an hp elitebook workstation.

yes it worked with the previous version.

Karba I have question
if I have 580 and 680 as rendering card, can it work together? on this version ? (octane max 3.01)

It works with kepler.
It doesn't work with tesla.

Ok so i tried to install on the dual gtx590, and it does render, it seems that this version does have a problem with the quadro line... including some laptops (3000m)

It works with kepler.
It doesn't work with tesla.
um sorry for asking again just want to make sure :oops: :lol:
580 is fermi right? and 680 is kepler
so I can combine 580 and 680 to render together in octane max 3.01?

Is there any solution for double sided material?

i have a book animated with book rigger and i need set different materials for each page side.

no support for double sided materials in Octane. You have to rig two attached meshes with different id.
