Hi mbetke, kcpr-raffaEl
You can have the render region back, as previously, by unchecking the option 'User Region as Film Region' in the Viewport tab of Global preferences.
A more convenient icon in the viewport will be added in the future, to have a similar interface as in Stand Alone..
Thanks for the feedback on your workflow.
Oh! Great news! Wasn't aware of this option in Preferences.
Thank you neonZorglub!

I think there is a misunderstanding, what neonZorglub said does not solve that you asked for, it switches from Region to Film region, but leaves no precedent to make visible.

Can anybody confirm ? When rendering in octane viewport with denoise , if I look denoised beauty pass and save, rendering elements are not saved, if I look beauty pass and turn denoise at completion and save, it can happen that denoised beauty pass is not denoised...

Hi HHbomb,
I don't think I understand what you just told.
Could you explain me better?

Well, for me it works as expected, only without stopping at certain ammount of samples, just renders forever

Yes,
That's how render region works, no stop sample.

More time I am working with a scene (3ds max 2019), more material editor and the whole process (opening windows and so on) become slower.

Same here!
After some time I've got to restart Max.

I have 2 monitors connected to 980. And 1080 + 1080Ti for rendering.
If i disable only 980, Material editor slow. If I disable also 1080, Material editor - normal speed. Why 1080 affects on 3ds Max preview speed if it is not connected to monitors? Or how it works?
