To fix lighting issues and fireflies.
. To add glare and bloom.
. To add chromatic aberration.
. For noise reduction if needed.
I just read the rules and stricly apply them; I think :|
And why do you need that?
I render mask to add CA only on background of the image

If it's not allowed I simply reedit in photoshop to match the rules
hey octane team... just tell us, thanks

Render cache from Octane for photoshop post prod
brilliant solution for material selection, very good job gzavye ;)
I don't understand why you can't use it , it's just an improvement of the alpha trick

Hey,

I don't see any problems with this technique, as long as you don't make severe changes to your image that creates new content rendered with octane then it's fine with us.

hi there.
happy new year to everyone.
here is my first entry. it started off as a test of the 2.3 v5 with light emitters . these scenes have no
environmental lights no windows ,so its only light emitters,
rendered in pathtrace ,aprox 2hrs render time
Post effects in photoshop : colour correction ,lensflare ,diffuse glow hope they accept these.
BTW: It schould be a Turkish Bath.
cheers

Ok, this is my submission for this contest.

I got the idea of a kind of 'beauty and the beast' picture with a slight poetic feel and a bit of humor in mind.
I dont know if I succeeded, but here is the result.

'Look, Ma ! I've got a new friend !'
Look, Ma ! I've got a new friend !
Look, Ma ! I've got a new friend !
(Having a young daugter myself, I can hardly imagine what would be my reaction in such a situation ...)

I used an HDRI image for lighting and pathtracing. The resolution is 1600x1600
As mentioned on the image I used some models from Daz3D.

Here are some spec of the image:

625.902 triangles
738.2 Mb used
5h16min render time
2,01 Megasamples/sec
0,78 FPS
16000 samples/px

The camera presets : Agfacolor HDC 100Plus CD with ISO at 132, gamma at 0,8000, saturation at 1,100 and vignetting at 0,5

Here are two PrintScreen for more informations
