Will the new one handle procedural cameras? (just bought the engrave/halftone one) and am wondering (as the current does not). Thanks

unfortunately not. if you mean the "graphic art cameras" set - these are just some sort of (2d) post processing filters for the rendered image, so octane would need to provide similar post processing filters, which it doesn't; maybe there is a way to send the octane output through this filters, but i doubt so. another thing are volumetric effects, as they would need to be rendered. might be that octane will add more post processing in the future, but even if so, it would need to be set up independently...

Hey - I'm cutting down - only checking this thread 100 times a day.

Still... any updates at all t_3? I'm happy to be one of the "omg-its-not-even-alpha-yet" testers.

Thanks

hm; thinking; i indeed could need some help in testing, but it needs to be clearly said that because of all the code changes it just isn't ready for work yet - so this would be closed testing only. and this actually means more work than fun ;) (i.e. to reproduce and describe issues). just in case: is anybody else interested to get 1. access and 2. in return new problems to track down?

-4.5 - means you can't ever recreate exact sunlight settings for your place in octane ;)

I do that (repro/desc issues) for work anyway. The only difference is yours are expected. :|
