I toy with the idea buying the octanerender, because I possess no one and I need a faster renderer for C4d.
I don´t possess nvidia graphic cards, too.
What should I buy: Two 660ti or one Titan?
What´s your experience and advice?
660ti will be slow. i'm using 2xgtx 590 its better than 2x680. Titans are brilliant in all perspective except price. 3gb gtx580's also good choice. titan is faster also 690

First I want to say congratulations to Aoktar & the beta - testers. I've had the pleasure of trying the integrated render out just now & it's a very solid start, good enough to begin working with right away.

If there's one thing I must say - you have to emphasise in the installation video & the documentation how important it is to right click & run Cinema 4D as administrator during the install. Cinema 4D needs to run in Administartor mode on first launch after installing the plugin & on re-start after entering the user info. Once this is done, it doesn't need to run as admin anymore. But since 90% of your customers are using Win 7, mostly with default security settings - you need to make this clear. It only took me 10 minutes because I'm an old hand at these things but others will probably be frustrated.

Anyway, thanks guys, great work, Octane has really arrived now with a properly convenient workflow.

Great plugin, thanks a lot.

About materials, it seems to not load textures who are in an other harddrive. Is it normal ?

Edit : Could you please clear the script console ? It's very annoying to have all theses time render on it when we use the console for an other script or plugin.

Re-edit : C4D crash when I set an OctaneCamera to Panoramic type.

Re-re-edit : The OctaneSky don't work when there is a classic c4d sky object after the OctaneSky in the object manager.

First comment : Octane doesn't respect when the 'tile' checkbox of a texture tag (under the 'tag' tab) is unchecked.
For example, Octane insists on repeating my iris texture across the eye (I am using the 'flat' projection type).
I am forced to restrict it using a selection tag but this is dependent on having the underlying geometry (ie - I happen to have enough edgeloops on my eye to allow for restricting where I want.
Anyway, I hope you don't take my comments as complaining about a good launch, I'm just pointing these things out as I find them.

firstly, i'm glad to hear this, thank you for interest and determination. I'm also thanks all beta testers for their big support and endurance.
This is also my mistake, i cannot think this is a problem. We will fix this asap.

@César:thanks. I'll publish a update some minor fixes. Issues like that. Where don't load textures? On materials previews/opengl textures or render image?

@Nimpsy: yes, octane team works on.

can load any texture if in absolute path, or in project path/ tex path.

panoramic camera not tested so much, this is last minute addition. sorry for that.

Only a sky can be active, if change order you'll see

if you post in Cinema4D subforum, i can more easily help you
