If it will simplify your life, I can live in "who's the winner" curiosity one week more
The only shame is that, theres an occasion to post some pictures for a competition, and I have no free time to do it.
Life is life
na na na-na-na...

well, for me an extra week is fine, I won't have time to add or modify anything to my entry, but if it means there will be more contestants and more images thats a good thing.
So hurry up and put the extra week to a good use there is plenty of room for many more great shots!
Good luck mates

Hi all,
We've extended the still competition one week too (like the animation competition) and it will now end on the 7th of July at 20:00pm CET (Central European Timezone: Amsterdam, Brussels, Paris)
Good luck

I have updated my entry since the previous was rendered with RC3 release, which has a DOF bokeh bug, fixed in 2.2beta final.

I will update tomorrow the HDRI version as well.
Cheers

Here comes the Predator Killer: Octano!
Modelling, texturing and rendering by my self. I have used several modelling apps: Blender, Sculptris and C4d.
There are 3 different Camera tonemapping-versions with extreme low gamma.
1. White Background and dcs6
The skull is a Diffuse transmitter.
2. Sky background with Kodachrome 64; too bad that the sun shadows are sharp alltough i used high turbidity
3.Sky background with Kodachrome 64t
Im out of ram , therefore i stopped experimenting => need new Hardware
Postproduction :
Frireflies removal and cropping
Ps.: I deleted my previous Entries, hope doesnt matter

Hey,
the first one is the best (i think) it's really good. the diffuse transmission gives a nice effect.
nice work, good to see such creativity with an old / small GPU
