I'll try the registry fix after a snack, but I've been further testing my prior scene, and it seems, if I export separately the room, and then the extras no crashing happens at import, althou I do have a problem of understand how I can "merge" all together in octane, cause they show up in the nodes, and if I select them I can see them but not all at once. But that's some minor misunderstanding from my side.
All and all great software, and I'm planning of buying a license as soon as I can (lol, waiting for some stupid clients to pay me long overdue jobs... go figure)

Actually the worst payers are usually fellow architects, lol, the sex has nothing to do with it (all architects are dicks)
On topic, I keep on playing with my crashy scene, and from time to time it crashes, I've installed up to date drivers, and keeps doing it, now I've changed the reg, but I'll leave the testing for tomorrow.
night

I am one
I haven't notticed before that all the payers I had problems with, were not only women but architects too

I'm one too, and yet I keep on working for other architects, by now I should have learnt better...
On topic: Finally I have figured out the problem with my scene, (by the way I've implemented the reg fix) I've split every object in diferent obj to isolate the one that crashes octane, finally I found the guilty one (you bad model, bad model, sit down.. grrrrr), so I checked to see what was the diference with the other ones, it wasn't the most poly heavy one, but it had one tiny difference, its texture had a difusse chanel with a bmp instead of jpg like the others, so I have replaced it for its jpg equivalent, and "voila" no crashes on import and the whole scene loads in one go with everything.
To make it short, the bmp was corrupted (on top of all), and octane crashed not even saying goodbye (sniff).
Maybe octane could check if the texture is valid and if it's not give a warning and replace it for a null one or something.
People with similar crashes after loading the meshes could try to load them without the textures.ยก to see if they are to blame.

more like a pandemic, I'm afraid
watch out! the crazy archies are out to eat your brains! hehehe
I can see how this can call to many of us, instant feedback on your project, wow, totally useful, besides most of the cad software aimed at architecture does build a 3D model of the building more or less transparent to our work, so add this up and you got a great working tool. Even thou I'm still working with plain autocad. But that is just cause I love to build up my own models and extract the 2d part from them, it gives more freedom.
