Hi Stefano,
how are you powering 1080ti on Mac?
Have you tried to switch a 1080ti from PC to Mac?
ciao Beppe

Hi Beppe!

I'm using the Bizon Box eGPU with the 400W power supply:

are you saying that maybe it's a card problem?

Thanks

I suspect that 400W is too low for the peak of 1080ti.
You could try to use an external PSU min 550W with the paperclip trick, or try with a less powerful GPU like 1070 for the Bizon box.

Hello!

I think that I discovered a odd behavior with the PMC kernel and denoiser. When the denoiser is active and do a render to picture viewer, the render just goes forever even after max samples is reached.
This does not happen with the PT kernel.
You'll find in attachment a debug scene file ;)

Is it a know issue? Because I've been looking around the forum but didn't see anything about that.

Cheers
Florian

Hi Florian,
AI Denoiser is not compatible with PMC, only Direct Lighting, and Path Tracing.

Is cryptomatte also included in octane 4 anytime? Now it is only with the subscription based model..
I would like to know for future projects sake.

My guess is no enhancements for 4.xxx but debugging may continue.

Cryptomatte is a new feature of Octane 2018 (v5), and cannot be added to previous versions.
New features are not boxes that you can move and add here and there. Octane had to be completely revisited to add Cryptomatte.
It is almost like asking to Maxon to add Volume workflow, or Fields to R19, simply not possible.

Hi i have problem with v4 and network. My master pc's cards stop in 1/3 or 1/4 of final samples and only slaves continue. I lose a great amount of rendering power like this cause my master has 2070 cards. This behavior wasnt present in 3.08.03 i was using til yesterday. Any fix for this? Need a scene to check it out? thanks
