Hi. You will need the latest Nvidia release to run recent versions of the plugin as per viewtopic.php?f=24&t=71406. I believe this version is the correct one -> https://www.nvidia.com/object/macosx-cu ... river.html but it requires High Sierra (10.13).

I hope that helps.

Paul, thank you for your help. Sorry, I can't update to 10.13 for a number of reasons. I use sonnet egfx breakaway box, on 10.13 not everything works stably as on sierra 10.12. I also don't want to write off octane render 4. I've been studying old projects, and on octane render 3 this was not the case. But I can't go back to version 3 because I can't live without a noise canceller :D :D :D . I've noticed that it all depends on the focal length, when you activate the DOF, the point disappears, but when the camera animation doesn't always go well. So I create a locator for the camera and get a more accurate focus. The black dot's gone, and I'm happy :D
Thanks again for your help

I am sympathetic to the challenges of working with Mac OSX, so here is the installer you requested. https://render.otoy.com/customerdownloa ... X.mpkg.zip

I have updated the STABLE installers for the Octane Regular license plugin version at the top of this thread with:

4.04.0.143
- Compiled with Octane 4.04
- Implemented performance improvements when loading and updating scenes with large numbers of mesh items with Live Geometry Update on
- Changed the Preferences->Default Live Geometry Update from Off to On (given the above performance improvements)
- Changed the Preferences->Update on Mouse Button Release to Off
- Fixed crash when adding a camera or duplicating a camera when the Viewport was open
- Added "Viewport Refresh Interval" to the Preferences->Octane panel and set the default Viewport Refresh Interval to 30ms
- Re-arranged "Create Texture" menu items in the Schematic to match Octane Standalone

Thanks

Paul

Hey Paul,

do you have any informations when the rounded edge shader in Octane will work properly? I got very weird results especially with CAD models which consists of lot of triangles. Had weld vertices ticked...

All other features are working like a charm, very well done! I did'nt use Octane since I was part of the beta tester team. You have put a lot of work in there! I have finished a tight project in no time compared to using the MODO renderer.

Again, thumbs up! :D :D

Hi Rene, good to hear from you again! I don't know the answer to this, so you will have to pose your question to OTOY in the general Octane Standalone forums. Perhaps it is planned for Octane 2019.
